Secluded lodge accommodation in the heart of the Abel Tasman National Park.
Surrounded by pristine waterways and native forest, the Lodge has been constructed to make the most of its secluded location which is not accessible by road.
The main lodge is warm, inviting and full of character with a comfy lounge, library, bar, restaurant and outdoor pizzeria which is open to day visitors, many of whom are walking the Abel Tasman Coast Track.
Enjoy a range of activities like a guided walk or kayak with one of our partner operators, relax on the famous Awaroa Beach or take a walk through our grounds and surrounds.
Arriving at the Lodge is part of the experience of your stay with us and you may choose to arrive on foot or via a scenic water taxi cruise or helicopter flight.
Abel Tasman National Park Accommodation
Choose from our charming accommodation options; Standard or Family rooms or contemporary architecturally designed Superior Suites built over the wetlands.
You will not find some of the usual things that you might expect in a 4 star hotel such as televisions, spa pools and cellphone reception! We generate our own power and use a satellite for our WiFi connection – we do however have great food, welcoming staff, comfortable beds, an abundance of bird life and sensational night skies!
Awaroa Lodge is a seasonal property and opens from October through to April each year; check the hotel website for correct dates.
Standard Rooms
Classic Awaroa Lodge rooms nestled among the trees and are simple and compact in size.
Secluded in the native New Zealand bush, with plenty of fauna around, these rooms have an outdoor deck.
Standard Rooms have a king-size bed (some split to twin), accommodating up to two people.
Family Rooms
Spacious rooms with rustic charm. Our Family Rooms are built from natural materials in an open-plan design with a mezzanine level. There is a dining table and large bathroom, queen beds and singles in various configurations, suitable for a family of up to six people.
Superior Suites
Architecturally designed suites with comfort and style in mind.
Our Superior Suites are as close to nature as you can get and still have all the comforts of home – a private outdoor deck overlooking the native bush or wetland area, with a king-size bed or twin singles. Superior Suites accommodate up to two people.
Dining at Awaroa Lodge
Dining at Awaroa Lodge is a wonderful experience with plenty of local produce and ingredients grown on-site featuring in our menu’s.
Our Lodge restaurant is open daily.
Breakfast 7am – 10.30am | Lunch 11am-3pm | Dinner 5.30pm-late.
Bar snacks and drinks are available between 3pm-5.30pm.
