Punakaiki Campground

Punakaiki Beach Camp offers a variety of powered and non-powered sites to suit your preference. Whether you prefer beachfront locations, nestled amidst native bush, or closer to amenities for the kids, we have options for you. Our spacious sites provide ample room for children to play and enjoy themselves. Additionally, guests have access to convenient dump station facilities.

Holiday Homes Punakaiki

We also have five magnificent holiday houses to rent.

Seascapes Punakaiki – A luxury self-catered vacation home by the sea. Situated directly adjacent to the beach, beneath majestic limestone cliffs, and boasting panoramic views of the Pancake Rocks.

Treescapes – A recently built two-bedroom house nestled amidst native bush, Treescapes offers stunning vistas of the Tasman Sea. Located a mere kilometre south of the Punakaiki River, it’s perfectly suited for Paparoa Track cyclists and hikers, road-trippers, families, and small groups alike.

Cliffscapes – True to its name, Cliffscapes is nestled beneath the spectacular limestone cliffs of Punakaiki. Situated directly across from the Paparoa Track, Cliffscapes provides convenient access to all that Punakaiki has to offer within easy walking distance.

Driftwood Cottage – Driftwood Cottage presents a charming house conveniently situated just across from the Paparoa National Park. Merely 1km from the Pancake Rocks and various hiking trails within the park, Driftwood Cottage offers an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area.

Blackball Connection – Introducing The Blackball Connection, Blackball’s latest accommodation option. Serving as the vital link for hikers and bikers embarking on their Paparoa National Park adventure, this cosy house is situated in the heart of Blackball. Surrounded by a vibrant community offering some of New Zealand’s finest hiking and biking opportunities, The Blackball Connection features two bedrooms and all the amenities necessary to unwind before setting off on your journey.

Riverside Cabins

Introducing our newest addition: the Riverside Cabins, nestled right alongside the picturesque Pororari River. These sunny, north-facing cabins are positioned at the camp’s edge, offering breathtaking views of the river and the Paparoa National Park.

Each cabin features its own deck with outdoor seating, providing a perfect spot to soak in the evening sun in tranquility. Equipped with bed linen, a fridge, and a heater, these cabins ensure a comfortable stay. Please note that towels are not included in bunk cabins.

Six cabins feature a double bed, ideal for couples seeking a getaway, while the remaining two cabins boast two bunk sets each, perfect for groups of four looking for privacy from other campers.

Conveniently located just a minute’s walk from the cabins, the camp kitchen and shower block provide easy access to essential amenities.

Facilities at Punakaiki Beach Camp

We provide an extensive array of amenities for our guests’ enjoyment and convenience. Additionally, we offer Paparoa Shuttles to assist anyone requiring transportation to the Paparoa Track.
