All of our units have full glass frontages to allow for unimpeded views of Mount Cook and Mount Tasman (New Zealand’s highest peaks) and the rugged Southern Alps. Snow capped mountains all year round give great views all day as the snow glows. We are the only accommodation with these views from every unit.
With no main road noise you can sleep in peace with only the views to keep you awake.
You don’t even have to leave Sunset Motels to get some of the best sunset photos in the world. Just look out of your room window at the sun setting on Mt Cook and Mt Tasman.
They glow red, orange and purple in the night sky reflecting the natural wonders of this area.We can suggest locations for the best photos in the Glacier National Park.

Sunset Motels is designed around you, to give you all the comforts of home with the bonus of the best views in Fox Glacier.
All studios and family units are facing Mt Cook and Mt Tasman with large glass windows so you can soak up the morning sun while having breakfast and take in the amazing views.
We can also supply you with a continental breakfast to have in the privacy of your room plus all rooms have kitchenettes, some with hobs or electric frying pans so you can cook your own breakfast or dinner. Toasters, fridges and coffee plungers are in all rooms.
All rooms have ensuite bathroom with heated towel rail and hair dryers, microwave kitchenette, satellite television on 32inch LCD TV’s. Electric heaters and electric blankets in all rooms to keep you warm on a winters night. Wireless internet is also available in every room, along with over 50 Free DVD’s and DVD players available for hire.
We have a guest laundry that has two washing machines and two dryers, if you need to catch up on your washing we can also supply the washing powder.
All rooms have telephones with no toll locks so you can ring home, alarm clocks with radios, also a desk and chairs for emailing or writing those postcards.
We have a large lawn and garden for you to enjoy or just sit back on your outdoor furniture and soak up the amazing views of Mt Cook and Mt Tasman whilst drinking a nice kiwi wine.
