Adventure Balloons New Zealand is a locally owned company based just outside Christchurch, South Island, with an exciting expansion into Wanaka, Otago. Offering a unique and unforgettable flight experience, the company welcomes both visitors and locals to take in New Zealand’s breathtaking landscapes from the skies—perfect for a special occasion or simply an extraordinary adventure.
Chief Pilot Graeme Church brings over 35 years of hot air ballooning experience, having flown in New Zealand, the UK, and across Europe, including Alpine flying and a flight across the English Channel. In addition to holding a fixed-wing airplane license, Graeme is one of only two Hot Air Balloon Flight Examiners in New Zealand.
Adventure Balloons is proudly operated by Graeme and his wife Michaela, along with a team of highly trained crew members.
Looking ahead, the company is planning to establish a Hot Air Balloon Pilot School—still in the works, but an exciting development to watch for!
