Experience an unforgettable view and solitude from Kūkupa matairangi.
Our purpose-built hut, high on the hills, overlooking Akaroa harbour, makes the most of the stunning views, and privacy. Featuring timber milled on the property, the hut includes shower, flush toilet, and basic cooking facilities. The hut is completely off-grid, powered by the sun with cell reception and wi-fi. The Hut has cell reception, wi-fi and Chromecast. Visitors walk up through lavender fields, macrocarpa plantations and open pasture – the stunning views get better with each step.

We can pick you up from your Akaroa or surrounding accommodation for any of these experiences.
All experiences over two hours include complimentary morning or afternoon tea.
