- Half day fishing charters are around 4 hours
- Full day fishing charters are around 7 hours
We will provide all fishing gear:
- Rods
- Reels
- Bait and ice
- We will fillet any fish you catch, and it is yours to keep
Private Group Tours
We offer private fishing and wildlife sightseeing charters around the Banks Peninsula. The scenery is stunning, and you will have a chance to spot some of the resident wildlife.
We can customize a tour for your group from 2 hours up to a full day and can include sightseeing, wildlife spotting and swimming.
Have a super day out with friends and family exploring the coastline and the wildlife. We can cater for any special occasion including wedding parties, corporate team building, educational groups, photography groups etc.
Akaroa Harbour has been carved out of an extinct volcano and there are dramatically coloured cliffs, caves etc. Tony has been diving and fishing here for most of his life and has many stories to tell about the natural and human history of the area.
You are welcome to bring refreshments and food. Warm clothes and your camera are a good idea too.
Contact us for a quote – cost will depend on how long you’d like to be on the water and how many people in your group.
Our Boat
Wairiri was originally a fishing boat built in Invercargill in 1964. Her double diagonal construction, makes her very strong and her twin engines help her maneuverability and reliability. Tony spent a year renovating and restoring her, so that you can enjoy a ride that is comfortable and close to the action. There is ample of seating on various levels (the foredeck, the top viewing deck and the saloon/wheelhouse inside). There is space for up to 30 people however we prefer to keep numbers down to give everyone the best viewing and photo opportunities. The boat has a toilet on board.
