Coromandel Coastal Walkway Hiker’s Options
Transport available from either Colville or Coromandel Town. Suits a Range of Ages for those with Moderate Levels of Fitness. While the 10 kilometre self guided Coromandel Coastal Walkway is the highlight of your day the drive and scenery along the way take a bit of beating too. With dropoff at Stony Bay and pickup at Fletcher Bay, the afternoon is yours to explore the Coastal Walk ONEWAY before the trip home beside the beautiful Hauraki Gulf. Feeling engergetic?? Coromandel Coastal Walkway Shuttle – Hike & Bike Options (Available from Colville)
We not only have bikes but bike transport available to help you explore the Northern Coromandel and the Coastal Walkway. With bike options available from the small village of Colville (an easy 30 minute drive, on tarseal, north of Coromandel Town) we travel via backcountry roads to Stony Bay to start the Walkway by 10.30am. The Walkway is ten kilometres mostly over a well formed surface passing through regenerating bush and coastal farmland. It can be hiked or biked but does require a degree of skill and fitness if biked. After a quick cuppa it’s time to get on your bike to ride the beautiful coast road back to Colville, a 36km ride over a gravel surface, right beside the stunning Hauraki Gulf. Many experienced cyclists have declared this one of the most scenic rides they have ever completed!

Pahi Coastal Walk
