- Freedom Camping / Self Contained – Freedom Camping / Self Contained – It’s really important to us that you can travel as you please in our great land so we have both self-contained and non-self contained campers, as well as heaps of tips for finding campsites around the country.
- Camper induction – to help you make the most of your vehicle, we take the time to make sure you understand your camper and everything it has to offer.
- Driver training session – among other things, we drive on the left side of the road here in NZ, so we spend some time making sure you are comfortable and confident to hit the road.

THE MAD ADVENTURER – 2 Berth – Non Self-Contained
Hit the road on a Mad Kiwi Adventure. We’ve introduced the MAD ADVENTURER to our fleet and are pumped about it!! Designed to take you comfortably from campsite to campsite (and EVERYWHERE in between) the MAD ADVENTURER is a non-self- contained vehicle – meaning it doesn’t have a toilet on board.
We are incredibly proud of our fit outs which boast:
- A fully functional kitchenette with fridge, sink, 2 burner gas cooker, pots & pans and utensils, salt, pepper, oil and dishwashing liquid
- A super comfy and spacious roof top tent (width 140cm, length 200cm, open height 100cm, closed height 33.5cm, capacity 2 people)
- Our tents provide comfortable space for adults to sit upright in either end of the tent. Offer full 360º panoramic windows, allowing air to circulate freely though the tent in warmer climates. The tent can be opened and closed in less than 1 minute by one person
NoMAD – Solo Traveller – Certified Self-Contained
The NoMAD is the best camper in New Zealand for solo travel, without compromising on style! We get a real kick out of seeing our travelers head off on solo adventures, knowing you are in total control of where you go and how long you stay at each spot, who you spend time with – and how much time you choose to spend by yourself! The NoMAD is the bigger and better version of the original MAD1, still allowing you to save money AND reduce your impact on the environment.
