Wow! What an amazing place to stay. As soon as you walk through the old Post Office doors, you step into a bygone era…all lovingly restored by hosts, Maria and David. From glistening chandeliers, freshly picked flowers, a bespoke bed, stain glass windows, re-purposed phone booth, and luxurious bathroom, this place oozes so much heart and history. Thank you for such a memorable 2 night stay.

OMG what a find!! This place was absolutely magic, we felt like royalty!! Maria & David were the absolute best hosts, serving us a welcoming platter, dinner and breakfast in our suite. Eltham itself was a total hidden gem, and going further a field to New Plymouth was a breeze at only a 30min drive. We loved our time with David and Maria. Great hospitality and such luxurious surroundings. What a treat when on a road trip. David’s suggestions to drive the Forgotten Highway ended up being one of the highlights of our road trip. What a stunning drive we had with such magnificent views. The green hills were breathtaking. Hardly anyone else on the road and stopping for coffee at the famous Whangamomona Pub chatting with some locals was a real bonus. Such a wonderful place to stay to discover a rich part of the country.
