Luxury Accommodation Rotorua
On The Point is a classic lodge with irresistible charm. The two-story mansion has been lovingly refurbished to retain its timeless appeal and character.
Each suite has an inviting lounge area, ensuite bathroom and spa bath.
Part of its charm is a large communal lounge with open fireplace, a timber-panelled dining room and elegant billiard room. Formerly a family home, many of the antiques remain which combined with modern luxury furnishings provide a comfortable and relaxing retreat.
Families and groups will warm to the exclusivity and unique feel of luxury.
- Main Suite (sleeps 2). This premier Suite offers panoramic views over the lake, a super king-size bed, large lounge and dining area, separate dressing room and study, a large balcony and an ensuite bathroom with spa bath.
- Lakeview Lodge Suites (sleep 2). Select from one of 5 Lodge suites located within the two-story manor. Each suite has a large inviting lounge, and an ensuite bathroom. There are a number of interconnecting options for families or large groups when selecting these suites.
- Garden View Lodge Suite (sleeps 2). Situated on the second floor and enveloped by leafy gardens, our garden view suite features warm timber ceilings, a spacious ensuite bathroom and comfortable living space. Connect the garden view suite with one of our lakeview lodge suites to accommodate a group or family.
- Lake Cottages (sleeps 2). These self-contained private Suites are situated a short walk from the lodge. Each boasts its own lounge room, separate bedroom, ensuite bathroom with shower and an open-air hot tub on the deck overlooking the lake.
- 2 Bedroom Villa Apartment (sleeps 4). Beneath the Lake Villa, a contemporary two-bedroom apartment enjoys views over the tennis court to Rotorua City. It is fully self-contained with a living/dining area and bathroom with a spa bath.
- 4 Bedroom Villa (sleeps 8). The Lake Villa is the owner’s residence, and sits above the lodge where it enjoys the very best of the lake and city views. This spacious Villa is a real treat for a family or group.
Most of our suites can accommodate a rollaway bed for an adult or child at an additional charge. Please enquire.

On The Point is an elegant lakeside lodge, steeped in the local history of love and life. With a beautiful waterfront location, rolling green lawn and an intimate chapel, it is the perfect venue for a sophisticated Rotorua wedding.
The retreat is three hours south of Auckland and just five minutes from the heart of Rotorua. Perched on the shores of Lake Rotorua it has a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere ideally suited for a wedding of up to 70 people. The intimate nature of the lodge is truly unique and our experienced and dedicated wedding coordinator Beula Somers will work closely with you to plan your wedding day and ensure everything runs smoothly. Beula’s attention to detail, pleasant and reassuring manner defines her style. Beula will be happy to assist you with all areas of planning your special day from Photography, hair and make up to music and entertainment.
