Whether your day is spent lounging on Pohara Beach which is just across the road, or meandering through the artist galleries in Takaka, there is plenty to do in the region.
For all you active explorers, we are located near to the northern end of the Abel Tasman National Park and within easy driving distance of some of Golden Bayâs stunning natural attractions such as Te Waikoropupu Springs, Wainui Falls and World Heritage site Farewell Spit.
Ratanui Lodge is a seasonal property and opens from September through to May each year; check the hotel website for correct dates.
Pohara Accommodation
Our 10 lodge rooms are stylish and tasteful, offering superior comfort with space to relax.
The spacious ensuite includes a walk-in shower, and our bathroom amenities are handmade especially for us using natural ingredients by Marlborough family-owned company Jeymar Soap and Body.
Each Lodge room has outdoor seating allowing you to soak up the sights, sounds and smells of our lovely flower garden, a favourite with the tuiâs, and the perfect spot to unwind when you return from a day exploring Golden Bay.
All room rates include a delicious breakfast in our sunny breakfast room.
