In Wellington we provide rafting trips on Te Awa Kairangi (The Hutt River) from Kaitoke Regional Park and the Akatarawa/Hutt River Confluence.
We also provide trips in the Wairarapa on the Waiohine River from the end of Waiohine Gorge Road and from Totara Flats in the Tararua Ranges via helicopter access.

Te Awa Kairangi/Hutt River Grade 3 Wilderness Rafting
Raft your way down the mighty Te Awa Kairangi/Hutt River. This river adventure is jam-packed full of rapids and a must-do experience! One of our excellent white water rafting guides will take good care of you on this epic adventure while entertaining you along the way with cheesy jokes. This three to four hour trip is an epic way to bond with family and friends while rafting 10km’s of grade 3 rapids. We’ll stop halfway to enjoy light refreshments and warm up with a hot drink.

Akatarawa Forest Canyoning Trip
The adventure begins with a thorough safety briefing including a demonstration on how to rappel /abseil a rope followed by a 20 minute walk along an old logging track into the Akatarawa forest where the first feature of the Little Akatarawa Canyon tour begins.
An exciting zipline into the Little Akatarawa canyon followed by four waterfall descents repelling/abseiling by rope into the heart of the canyon, we lower you through the first waterfall to get you comfortable in the environment then if you are confident and want to do an independent abseil, our experienced team of guides are there for support to coach you through the activity making sure you are safe and having fun.
Wading through a shallow creek and jumping from height into fresh pristine water (optional) is so much fun and the scenery is truly an experience to remember.
