- Water Taxi from Lane Cove – The Wairakau Stream Track is a Department of Conservation walking track. Begins Campbell Road Totara North and ends at Lane Cove on the western arm of Whangaroa Harbour. This 2 hour & 5.6 kilometer walk (one way) is highly recommended for its stunning coastal scenery and beautiful forests. Ideal for freedom walkers, families and backpackers. Walk the Wairakau Stream track from Totara North to Lane Cove and Dukes Nose under your own arrangements. Save the walk back and enjoy a boat ride back to either Totara North or Whangaroa. Boat pick up from Lane Cove and you will be returned to Totara North or Whangaroa.
